Part 1 of 4
Solve the Seven
Before you design your own, master the classics. Solve all seven tangram puzzles by making the pieces exactly fill each silhouette — translate a piece by dragging it, and use the command bar to rotate and reflect it. Every solve is saved to your file, and finishing all seven unlocks Part 2 — each part of the project opens when the one before it is complete. The playground version, with tutorials and free play, lives at Tangram Interact.
Part 2 of 4
Me-Gram Maker
Draft your Me-Gram on the six-inch grid. Click one point, then a second — every pair of clicks lays down one line segment, and everything snaps to the quarter inch. Keep it bold and simple: you'll be cutting this apart next.
Part 3 of 4
Cut it into pieces
Trace each puzzle piece over your drawing. Click the dots in order around one shape, then close it by clicking your first dot again — the piece locks in with its own color. Every part of your design should end up inside a closed polygon — when you think you have them all, press Check my pieces: Part 4 unlocks when every piece is traced with no gaps and no overlaps.

Me-Gram Puzzle Maker
Here are your pieces at half size — a dilation with scale factor ½. Click a piece to select it, drag it to translate it anywhere, and use the keys below to rotate and reflect it. Vertices and edges snap together when they nearly touch — the arrow keys translate the piece one pixel at a time without snapping. When your silhouette is arranged, press Create puzzle and trace its outline dot to dot.
Line up pieces translates overlapping pieces apart. Create puzzle shows a dot at every vertex — click dot to dot around your arrangement, and close the outline where you started to record the silhouette. Once a black silhouette is recorded, Add to booklet appears on the canvas — the goal is six puzzles. The canvas icons ↶ ↷ undo and redo your changes; RESET returns every piece to its starting spot (and yes, it can be undone).

Click a piece first to select it — the selected piece shows a red dot at its center.
Booklet
Your puzzle booklet
Collect six puzzles — every time you press Add to booklet in Part 3, that puzzle joins the booklet. Print the two sheets back to back (two-sided, flip on the long edge), cut along the dotted lines, and stack the six cards: each page shows a puzzle on the front and its answer — the polygons that build it — on the back. The 6″ × 6″ etching layout of all six silhouettes downloads from the SVG page.
