Choose your terms

Pick 5 to 7 words that matter — words that describe who you are, name what you love, or hold something important in your life. Type each word and press ADD: it takes its place as a term of your equation, in its own color. Not sure a word belongs? Add it anyway — you can remove any term with its ✕ and choose again. Then name one thing more: the future profession you aspire to — it joins the equation last, held in parentheses.

In algebra, a word or letter that stands for something is a variable, each quantity being added is a term, and the result of adding is a sum. Your equation states that the sum of your words equals you — and the parentheses at the end hold your future profession as a single entity: one more term, still becoming.

In addition to your 5–7 words: the person you aspire to become. It joins the equation last, inside parentheses — algebra's way of seeing everything they hold as one single entity: the future you.

When your words are chosen, press CHECK — it looks over your spelling and opens what's next.
